Having graduated from the Department of Malay-Indonesian Studies at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), obtained both a master's and a Ph.D. in Malay-Indonesian Translation Studies from the same institution. The master's research focused on cultural elements, while the doctoral research examined idiomatic expressions.
Currently teaching at the Department of Malay-Indonesian Studies and the Graduate School of International and Area Studies at HUFS, while also working as a professional interpreter and translator. Interpretation and translation experience includes serving as an interpreter during the Indonesian president’s visit to Korea, interpreting for fisheries crew
members, and business interpretation. Additionally, contributed as a translation committee member for KOREANA, a quarterly magazine published by the Korea Foundation.
Further experience includes participation in projects such as AI training data development and deep learning-based educational service development as a research specialist.
