Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Indonesia in 1973, the two countries have maintained remarkable cooperation across various fields. Indonesia is the only Southeast Asian country with which Korea has established a Special Strategic Partnership, expanding collaboration in economics, trade, investment, politics, security, and socio-cultural sectors.
In this context, our research on Indonesia must take a significant step forward. While various academic disciplines have independently studied Indonesia, it is now essential to integrate and synthesize these efforts to generate synergies. Building upon this foundation, we must further solidify the cooperative relationship between Korea and Indonesia.
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Indonesian studies in Korea, our center will leverage its accumulated experience and research expertise to carry out interdisciplinary research activities and collaborative projects that contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation. We appreciate your interest and support.
Thank you.
