Kim Dong Hoon


Kim Dong Hoon earned a bachelor's degree from the Department of Malay-Indonesian Studies at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and a master's degree (MA) from the university’s Department of Southeast and South Asian Language & Literature. Later, he was selected as a POSCO TJ Park Foundation regional expert and pursued a PhD in Literature at the University of Malaya, specializing in colonial literature.

Currently, he teaches modern Malay-Indonesian literature at both the undergraduate and graduate levels at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.He also serves as a senior research fellow at the university’s Southeast Asian Studies Institute. His primary research interests include nationalism in colonial Malay-Indonesian novels and post-structuralist movements in contemporary Malay-Indonesian literature.
