Eom Gang Sim
After completing MSc in Anthropology and Development at London School of Economics and Political Science through the Korean Government Scholarship Program, she worked as an Official Development Assistance researcher at the Institute of East and West Studies, Yonsei University. Later, with a PhD candidacy in Anthropology at Harvard University, she spent two years at the University of Indonesia as a Visiting Scholar.
While conducting ethnographic research there on Korean migration to Indonesia, she led an innovative research project on Social Media, Korean wave, and public diplomacy, funded by the Korea Foundation, as Principal Researcher..
